Suzanne is an active event rider that hopes to compete in the Foshay International. She owns/manages Foshay South Eventing, an event training facility in Lakeside, NB.
Sam was first introduced to eventing at the Rothesay pony club in 2002 and has never looked back. Having competed in Canada and throughout the US, Sam was also a working student for four star eventer Adrienne Iorio in the hub of eventing in Aiken SC. Now a trainer and Certified Equine Canada Instructor, Sam brings her passion for eventing and her career in Marketing to her role as Event Director for Foshay International.

Nicholas Austin opened his first dressage gate as a volunteer after he was told by the TD, a very stern Minna Renz that: “If you were not going to ride at an event then you can help make it safe, fair and fun for the competitors”. Since then he has been involved with the sport having, along the way, been fortunate enough to have volunteered at the Montreal Olympic test event, Atlanta and the 2016 Pan Ams. He has his ridden in one event and decided, like parachuting, it is an odd way to get your jollies!
Mike is a telecom veteran with nearly 20 years of hands on experience building and maintaining fibre optic networks and the business models that sustain them. In his spare time Mike rides and trains show jumpers and has had a lifelong relationship with Rob Stevenson and family. Mike was formerly the show manager of the Fredericton Horse Show and Maritime Winter Fair and brings his organizational skills to Foshay International.
Alanna Palmer has been a Canadian Pony Club member, parent, District Commissioner, Regional Chair and recipient of its 2001 National Chair’s Award for Volunteer Service. Happily retired from a career in business management, she is now the proud owner of an OTTB eventer-in-training.
Stabling Coordinator/ Show Office Assistant
At an early age I caught the love for horses. I participated in the Annapolis Pony Club, testing at the A level. Eventing became my passion, competing at the Prelim level which led me to meet Rob and Suzanne Stevenson in 2000. Over the years of schooling and becoming a cardiac/critical care nurse, the love of horses has remained strong. Very happy to be member of FIOC and give back to a horse community I have long been a part of.
Grounds Manager/ Coordinator
As a youngster, I quickly learned how to dodge chores, and I joined my dad on his jobs through his construction business. Realizing I enjoyed working with my hands, I carried on obtaining my red seal in carpentry. After starting my own business, I had the opportunity to work for the Stevenson’s, and now to help develope the site for Foshay International. Although I prefer my horse power to be found in anything with an engine, I am looking forward to expanding my knowledge and skill set with FIOC.
Gaye Lynch has been a career horse person. After receiving a solid foundation at Fredericton Pony Club, she worked for 10 years at hunter/jumper barns in Ontario and 30 years at Woodbine Racetrack – 20 as an exercise rider and assistant trainer to Hall of Fame trainer Mac Benson followed by years as a race official. Gaye is excited by the opportunity to contribute to the discipline of eventing in her home province.
Foshay Country Fair/ Vendor Coordinator
